Our custom cakes require a minimum of 14 days’ notice. This is due to the amount of work that goes into creating custom orders. We do not make exact replicas of "inspiration pics" sent to us. You're more than welcome to send a picture of the cake you'd like but, please understand that your custom cake will be similar to the picture, not exact. This is due to different creative eyes, different products that may or may not be available.
We accept cash payment and all major credit cards.
When emailing a request or quote please be sure to indicate the delivery or pick up date and time, as well as number of servings you desire.
When placing an order there is a 50% non-refundable, deposit required for all orders. Orders placed within 14 days before the established date will be considered rush orders and subject to a $150 rush fee. Payments for rush orders are due in full.
Final payments are due at pick up or the day before delivery, unless the order is a rush order. Final payments are non-refundable unless there is fault on Cakd by Tae LLC.
All payments are non-transferrable.
Any Orders placed within 14 days of the desired due date are considered rush orders. All Rush Orders require a $150 rush fee. This fee does not go towards the remaining balance of your order. With being in a time crunch, we may not be able to accommodate all your custom requests but, we will do our best to meet them all. Any orders booked 3 days or less require a $300 additional rush fee. Payments on rush orders are non-refundable and non-transferable. All rush orders must be paid in full at the time of booking.
Cake tastings are designed to accommodate two guests with up to 4 selected flavors. There is a $100 fee for cake tastings. Upon booking, this fee is transferred and deducted from your total balance. No additional guests or children are allowed to attend cake tastings unless pre-approved. Upon approval, any additional guests require a $50 accommodation fee.
If pick up is desired, you will be given a pickup time window and your cake must be picked up within that window. If you need to change your pickup time, we require a 24-hour notice. You cannot schedule a pick up after business hours.
Delivery Fees vary upon distance traveled. A minimum order of $300 must be placed to qualify for delivery. Delivery is $50 within 5 miles of our location with $1 for each additional mile. Our set up fee is $30 or 20% of your orders total for orders $300 or more.
Delivery and setup fees are included in the total invoice.
We are not responsible for any damage to the cake after setup is complete. You are responsible for providing an appropriate and secure table and environment for the cake(s). Cakes are heavy and require a sturdy table, and optimal room temperature of 70 degrees or below.
It is your responsibility to ensure that the event location is open and available for set up at the appointed time. Should we have to wait at the site for the event location to be opened, you will be billed for the time at a rate of $25 per 15 minutes that must be paid before the setup of your cake.
Any cake placed outside during an event has the possibility of melting or deforming due to the heat. We are not responsible for cakes that are damaged due to venue.
Changing an order will be considered up to 7 days before the event. We are unable to guarantee changes for custom orders that are fewer than the 7 days notice. Any changes or revisions granted before the due date may incur a revision fee of $40 or 30% of your order for orders $300 or more.
To cancel a custom order, we require a minimum of 12 days. All deposits are non-refundable and non-transferrable after the 12 day period. Cancellations outside of the 12 day period are transferrable, upon approval from Cakd by Tae LLC.
You are responsible for transporting your cake and/or treats. We are not responsible or liable for orders once they leave our premises. Cakes are fragile and can be damaged if transported incorrectly or kept under extreme weather conditions. Place cakes on the flat floorboard of the car/vehicle. Cakes should NEVER be placed on seats or in trunks.
On occasion, we will photograph our cakes, and we reserve the right to use any photographs for display or promotion without compensation to you.
Our products may contain or come into contact with milk, wheat, nuts, soy, and other allergens. You agree to notify your guests of this risk and hold us harmless for allergic reactions.
